Turtles

I've been busy knitting turtles over the past couple of days for a craft fair that I've got coming up. They are so cute that I just had to post a picture of them! :)

I've also been working on some knitted mobile phone cases and zipped fabric pencil cases for the same craft fair. It's only a week away now, I'm getting slightly nervous that I'll have enough stock for it... back to work for me. :P

Sewing

I've been having a play with a sewing machine for the past couple of days, and I'm actually quite surprised how quickly I'm getting the hang it. I'm not amazing with it yet by any means but I'm sure that will all come with time.

So far I've managed to make a full circle skirt with an elasticated waist band, a reusable shopping bag, a pin cushion and a furry purple messenger bag which I'm quite proud of. :)

The strap isn't ideal, its blue webbing rather than black or even purple and it isn't adjustable but it does the job and it's what I had handy. It was a bargain actually! I managed to pick up two whole rolls of webbing, the other roll is thinner than the one I used on the bag, from a car boot a few months ago for a couple of quid! The inside is purple too (not furry) which looks great.
I'll have to get hold of some adjusters for next time I make a bag but I'm really pleased with this one!. :)

Fleece falls

I had quite a productive day yesterday, I made up two sets of fleece falls and got some more work done on Nicks new synthetic dreads. Grr, that indigo is hard to work with! I'd have finished them off yesterday if it had been any other colour but that one just seems to melt as soon as it sees a hair-drier. That and it really makes my fingers sore for no good reason. :(

Anyway, less of my moaning, I had fun making up the fleece falls. I quite like them. :) I wonder why I don't see more of them around when I'm out and about clubbing? Any comments on this would be useful. :)
Here's a picture of the falls in question for any of you that are wondering what they look like. The pictures aren't great, I'll have to take better ones for putting them on Etsy but you get the idea. Each set of falls are mounted on two shoelaces so they can be worn together over a pony tail or separately as bunches.
